WIND SURFING

In the warmer months some TSC'ers still get out on the snow, when it's in liquid form.

Windsurfing is a fun and healthy way of enjoying the great outdoors and a challenging exercise that can bring the whole family together. Age or sex is not an issue in windsurfing. Anybody can do it as long as they can swim and have no fear of water.

The club hosts a learn to windsurf event each year for those that want to try this amazing sport.

THURSDAY NIGHT GOLF LEAGUE

The Toledo Ski Club Golf League has been part of Ski Club athletics for many years. We have played at South Toledo, Bedford, Tamaron and now Heatherdowns Country Club. The league is co-ed and consists of 24 players. We begin in April and play through August for 18 weeks. Each player is responsible for gettitng a sub if you cannot play and there is an extenisve sub list. Members may sign up to be a regular or a sub. Subs pay $10 to play nine holes. The first tee time is 5:24 p.m. and each player may have a different tee time each week. Pairings vary from week to week also. This is a fun league and each week there is a game such as closest ot the pin, longest putt, best drive, etc. You can play for a dollar. There are scramlbes and other fun events scattered throughout the season. At the end of the season there is a party with food, prizes, gifts and sometimes entertainment! Our scoring is handed through LeagueBoss.com which is a web based scoring and pairing system. If you are a member of the league, you will be assigned a password which will enable you to check your scores and standings.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT BIKE TO BERKEY

Where: Meet at McCord Rd and the University Trail parking lot

When: Beginning April 21st through mid-September at 6:15 P.M. leaving the parking lot promptly at 6:30 P.M. to head West on the trail, North on King Rd and West on Brint Rd. to 295 then North for one mile to Berkey for an ice cream or drink and then return the same route.

It's 10 miles out and 10 miles back. Helmet recommended. Ride at your own pace. This isn't a "race", Just a chance to get together to keep in shape. We don't ride in the rain so check the forecast and come join in the fun.

TENNIS

Toledo Ski Club has a very active winter tennis group. We play at Shadow Valley Tennis Club. We have two sessions. The fall session begins mid October and continues until mid December. We meet every Sunday night from 7:30 until 9:00P.M. We have all levels of play and also require substitute players occasionally. Our second session meets from mid January to Mid April. We only play every other week to allow skiers time to ski on opposite weeks. The league is set up so you are playing with players of your own level.

We also provide tennis lessons for those wishing to either perfect their skills or learn the game. These lessons are also on Sunday night at Shadow Valley and are very reasonably priced. All of our tennis is advertised in the news letter a month ahead of each starting session. The groups fill up fast so if you are interested, you must sign up early.
