Not the Same Old Bus Weekend 2.0 Jan 27, 28 & 29, 2017
Are you tired of the same bus trips? You know, the pizza, pack a thymed outfit, Saturday night dinner, dishes, punch bowl thymed drink, DJ playing the music etc… Rick & Jeanne Popiolek are planning to do something different on this weekend! Don’t worry, we are not reinventing the wheel, just modifying it a bit. We will be meeting at Visiting Angels 7110 W Central Ave in Toledo and leave for the TSC Lodge @ 6:30. Food on the bus, beer, pop & wine will be provided. Accomodations at the luxurious TSC lodge is provided for both Friday and Saturday night. Saturday morning your breakfast and luxury bus transportation to Boyne Highlands. We will have our Slope Party on Saturday at the Heather warming hut next to the High Speed chair. All participants are encouraged but not required to race NASTAR. At 4:30 we will head back to the TSC Lodge and get cleaned up and get ready for dinner. We will board our luxury motorcoach again at 6:00 and head to Boyne City for Dinner. You will be dropped off Downtown Boyne City and have your choice of dining. There are about 10 different eateries, Red Mesa Grill, Boyne River Inn, Subway, Café Sante, Water Street Café, Thick-N-Juicy Hamburgs, Indo China Garden, Parkside Grill & Treats and a few more. You are on your own for dinner. Meet back at the bus at 9:30 and head back to the Lodge for a nightcap. Sunday morning, pack ALL your items and load the bus. Pack a change of clothes for the ride home at the top of your bag. We will be heading South from the Lodge and not coming back. Sunday we will ski Shanty Creek just South of Traverse City. I don’t think the Toledo Ski Club has ever skied there on a bus trip. You will be able to use the Shell Gasoline Vouchers on Sunday so you can get lift tickets 2 for 1! Shanty Creek will have a changing room for us also. The bus will leave Shanty Creek at 4:00 and start heading home. W
